BRIGHTHOPE · CHRISTIAN PASTORAL COUNSELING APP
Accessibility Statement
BrightHope is committed to making our app and website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies.
1 Our Commitment
BrightHope exists to make faith-rooted pastoral support easier to access. We want our digital experiences to be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for users with a wide range of abilities, devices, and assistive technologies.
2 Accessibility Goals
Our goal is to align the BrightHope website and app with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA where reasonably achievable for our current product stage.
These guidelines help teams create content that is more accessible for users who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, captions, zoom, high contrast settings, voice control, and other assistive tools.
3 Measures We Take
As we design and build BrightHope, we aim to:
- Use semantic headings, landmarks, labels, and clear page structure;
- Support keyboard navigation for primary workflows;
- Maintain readable contrast, font sizes, and spacing;
- Provide meaningful link and button text;
- Avoid relying only on color to communicate meaning;
- Design responsive screens that work across mobile and desktop sizes;
- Review new UI patterns for accessibility before release where practical.
4 Known Limitations
BrightHope is still evolving. Some areas may not yet meet our target standard, especially newly released features, embedded third-party tools, legacy exports, or media content. We are working to identify and improve these areas over time.
5 Third-Party Services
Some parts of BrightHope may rely on third-party services, including payment processing, video, email, analytics, app stores, or external crisis resources. We cannot fully control the accessibility of third-party experiences, but we consider accessibility when selecting and configuring providers where practical.
6 Feedback & Assistance
If you experience an accessibility barrier, need information in another format, or need help using BrightHope, contact us at support@brighthopeapp.com.
Please include the page or feature you were using, what happened, the assistive technology or browser you used if relevant, and the best way for us to reply. We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within a reasonable time.
7 Ongoing Improvement
We may update this statement as BrightHope changes, as standards evolve, and as we learn from user feedback. Accessibility is part of our continuing product work, not a one-time checklist.
